New publication: Stephanie M. Hilger (ed.). (2024). The Health Humanities in German Studies. London: Bloomsbury.

The first full-length study to bring together the fields of Health Humanities and German studies, this book features contributions from a range of key scholars and provides an overview of the latest work being done at the intersection of these two disciplines. In addition to surveying the current critical terrain in unparalleled depth, it also explores future directions that these fields may take.

“Climate Change and People with Disabilities: Problems, Challenges, Perspectives”

The conference, which will take place in Berlin on 13 March 2024, either in person on site or online via video live stream, will look at the consequences of climate change on the lives of people with disabilities. With a view to German international cooperation, it will explore the question of how climate adaptation measures can be inclusive and accessible.
